Easy Pie Crust

Our family favorite pie crust recipe. Whether were making pie crusts, hand pies, or pie crust cookies this recipe is perfect made with all natural pork lard, fresh organic wheat flour, and pasture raised eggs. It doesn't get much better.
- Servings: 4 pie crusts
Ingredients
- (1-1/2 Cups) Rendered Pork Lard
- (4 Cups) Organic General Purpose Flour
- (1 Tbsp) Sugar
- (1-1/2 tsp) Salt
- (1 Egg) Katy's Eggs
- (1 Tbsp) Vinegar
- (~1/2 Cup) Cold Water
Directions
- Combine all your ingredients except the water in a bowl. Take a pastry cutter or knife and cut the ingredients together till they begin to combine.
- Slowly add in the water mixing as you go till you reach a nice smooth consistency. You may not need all the water.
- Once you have reached a smooth consistency split the dough into 4 section.
- Roll out your pie crust on a well floured surface.
- If you want to make all your pie crusts at one you can wrap the extra in plastic wrap and then put in a airtight container and store in the freezer till your ready to make another pie.
- Want to prebake your pie crust: Preheat the oven to 425°F and bake for about 15 min.
- Pie Crust Cookies. Roll out your pie dough like you would for a pie crust. then take a round cookie cutter and cut out your cookies. transfer to a cookie sheet cover with cinnamon sugar and bake at 425°F for 10 min.
